2018 Servocat Jr. Installation on my 15" Obsession Ultracompact (UC) Dobsonian

- Bottom of ground board before any changes.
- Inside of rocker box before any changes.
- Original pivot bolt and metal washer.
- Bottom of ground board with original pivot bolt and plate removed. Original pivot bolt hole is 1/2" diameter.
- Original pivot bolt hole plugged with a 1/2" diameter dowel and center marked.
- Bottom of ground board with new pivot post plate and wiring to power socket in ground board foot.
- Contact plate installed on the top of the ground board.
- Top of rocker with original pivot bolt removed. Original teflon bearing removed and replaced with one that has a groove in it for the altitude cable.
- Shows the power socket installed in the foot of the ground board.
- New pivot post installed in the ground board.
- New holes in rocker for pivot post and azimuth motor assembly/roller.
- Holes in rocker as seen from the bottom. Azimuth roller hole had to be enlarged to allow it to disengage further from the edge of the ground board.
- Power distribution rail, Servocat controller board, and reinstalled azimuth encoder.
- Azimuth motor assembly installed.
- Ground board reattached to rocker.
- Protection board installed at front of rocker.
- Altitude motor assembly and release lever attached to the rocker.
- Close-up of altitude roller, release lever, and slot cut in altitude bearing for altitude cable.
- Hole for Altitude encoder bracket moved slightly to allow for altitude motor assembly.
- Knob installed in front altitude bearing for altitude cable.
- Cabling installed in the rocker.
- Completed scope. Note new hand controller next to the Argo Navis on the stalk.
